Surviving THAT Time of The Month

Being a girl can be oh so amazing. From the lushhh clothes in the high street shops, the gorg lippies in Superdrug or the fact there about 6547 different hairstyles we can do- it FAB! However, one thing that is THE WORST about being a girl is THAT time of the month- our period.

Periods are SO weird as they are never really talked about despite around half of EARTHS POPULATION having one at some point in their lives. Periods are something we normally keep quiet about and just have to DEAL with (while secretly crying at cute animals in hats and stuffing our 5th chocolate bar of the evening).

However, the Betty Box has arrived to make mine, and all our your lives easier when you are having the WORST WEEK EVER. Betty Box is a period subscription box which arrives just before your period with EVERYTHING you need. As everyone’s period is different the box is customisable with various products and brands, there’s something for everyone. You can choose just pads or tampons, or have a mix of both which is great, and they include various thicknesses so you can use the ones ‘for now’ at the start of your period and the ones ‘for later’ nearer the end!

But, this is not all! As we can feel a lil’ down when it’s that time of the month, the Betty Box also includes some cute treats that will cheer you up, and subside those PMS symptoms! This is TOTALLY my favourite part of the box as it includes so many cute essentials. The ‘for you’ box included some beauty bits including a coffee body scrub, a hair mask, face wash, body cream and a nail polish! Other bits included some hair ties, sweets (YASSS) and such a pretty bracelet! Using my FAB maths skills (that haven’t been used since GCSE LOL) the ‘for you’ section is worth almost £40- FORTY POUNDS!

For me, I believe that the Betty Box is just a MUST for every gal. It saves you from having to go out and get your essentials so you can just CHILL OUT. The Box allows you to be prepared for your annoying monthly visitor but also be surprised with some cute AF bits! Every month, the ‘for you’ box will change, so each month you can get surprised with some new essentials and gives you a chance to try out some new brands!

The Betty Box is ONLY £6.99 for your first go and then £10.95 after that. When thinking about it, I probably spend SO MUCH more than that just on pads and chocolate, whereas this box’s content is worth over £40, and you can get it for just over a tenner and NOT EVEN LEAVE YOUR BED! For the first time in my life, I’m kinda looking forward to my period…LOL okay, I’m looking forward to trying all the sweets and beauty products!

I love the concept! And that’s such a shame, this idea is spreading around more though, so hopefully there is one similar, or hopefully Betty Box expands soon! They do have a website with a load of information and extras too which you can access. But thank you for reading lovely! xx
