Having recently become self-hosted and deciding to post A LOT more, the time I have spent working on things surrounding my blog has MULTIPLIED. I have found that lots of apps have become so helpful, if not ESSENTIAL to my blog, and are just so useful to have! Therefore, I thought I would share some of the apps I use for my blog that might help many of you.
I don’t mean to be obvious (but I am still going to!), but two main apps that I use are Instagram and Twitter. I originally started out on Instagram as it allowed me to post images from my blog posts to give people an insight of what I’m about. Instagram allows you to discover so many new blogs, promote your posts as well as get a LOAD of photography inspiration! I LOVE TWITTER. Twitter is one of my favourite apps, as everyone seems just a bit more CHILL. You can be a bit more personal over on there, advertise your blog posts and also take part in blogger chats! In the evenings, I love to take part in these and chat to other bloggers!
Bloglovin’ has become something that I use SO MUCH recently. I think we all find ourselves in a bit of a blogging funk now and again and just CANNOT think of a single blog post idea. As bloglovin’ has the blogs from EVERYWHERE, it’s a place I love to go to read blogs that aren’t on WordPress, but also to get some inspiration!
UNUM is an app that I don’t think many people would have heard of. It essentially allows you to plan your Instagram layout, so before you post a photo, you can see whether it will look good! As I have recently started a new Instagram ‘theme’, this app has allowed me to make sure my photos look BANGIN’ together, rather than a hot mess!
As I mentioned, I LOVE twitter, so the app Buffer has become INCREDIBLY useful. Buffer allows you to schedule your tweets for particular times, so even when you’re not on your phone, your tweet will be published! It’s so great for days when you are busy at work or school, or if you don’t have much time. It means you can promote your blog posts without having to worry about writing your tweets at a certain time!
Pinterest is just the PERFECT place to go for inspiration. Whether you need photography inspiration, some ideas for a new blog post or a new background for your blog header- it’s the place to be! I always head to Pinterest for inspiration for an outfit/makeup post as there are countless amounts of gorgeous mood boards and photos- LOVE!
These are the six apps that have literally made blogging and promoting my blog posts SO MUCH easier! They make me feel as though my life is a lil’ bit more organised which I love! Have you got any apps that you love for blogging?
