I find fashion so much fun, there’s always a new trend every season which we all obsess over and there’s a style for everyone. However, I’ve found that recently I’ve formed a bit of a clothing comfort zone, one in which I’m not seen in anything else but basic jeans and a top. I’ve found myself constantly questioning “Can I really pull that off?” when looking at anything bright or a lil’ bit wacky.
So, I’ve recently decided to screw all the doubts of myself and the judgements that others make. Fashion is for YOU to express YOURSELF, and if you think a top is dam cute, the go and wear it!! The outfit I’m strollin’ around in these pics is my go-to at the moment, but is something that I would have never dreamt of wearing a few months ago! First of all RIPPED JEANS! I’ve always thought they are SUPER cool, but I’m not nearly cool enough to pull them off! But, I just went for it and now they are my favourite jeans and I feel GOOD in them! The hoodie is also my new fave as it’s a cute dusty pink (a colour that I always steer CLEAR from!) and it says ‘we matter’ across it which I love!
Something to mention is that this WHOLE outfit I purchased second hand on DEPOP. I’ve literally become obsessed with it, buying everyone’s bits and selling my own clothes! The jeans I’m wearing are from Topshop and would have cost an absolute BOMB if I had bought them full price, but I managed to snatch them up at less than half their normal price! The top is from H&M and is no longer in stock, however, I have seen a few people selling it on Depop so I’d have a look on there! If you are looking out for some cute clothes, have a look on MY DEPOP! I personally think I love this outfit because it’s pieces that I LOVE, but that I’ve also got for really good prices which makes me feel better about wearing them!
The purpose of this post is to just reassure you all that we all have our own clothing comfort zones, and I’m no way saying I’ve completely broken away from mine as I love it. BUT, from time to time it’s nice to go for something a bit more ‘daring’ for you as who knows- it could end up being your new clothing staple!
