4 Exciting Things About This Autumn

HOW on Earth is it December already? October felt like it lasted a good three months, but November has honestly felt like five minutes! It’s SO crazy that Winter is around the corner, and I can definitely feel it cause it’s bloomin’ FREEZING in the mornings- I feel like a walking and talking icicle!

Personally, Autumn is a very busy time of year; the return to school, my birthday, family members birthdays, parties, work and a loadddd more- just busy, busy, busy! However, I wouldn’t have it any other way as it’s been a FAB couple of months where I’ve really worked hard, but also had fun! So, here are some of my fave moments from this Autumn!

On the 22nd of October this year, I turned the big 18! I honestly cannot believe that I’m considered an ‘adult’ now, and I’m not going to lie, some of these ‘adulting’ things can be a lil’ difficult- but I’m LUVING it! I had such a fun time celebrating with my family and friends, making me feel super loved and happy and being totally spoiled with my presents! Being 18 has made me feel so much more grown up, but also opened my eyes to the amount of new-found freedom I have, freedom in which I intend to use well!

As I mentioned earlier, there were quite a few birthdays this month…including mine as well as two of my besties…within two weeks! This resulted in quite a few parties (meaning another excuse to buy more clothes whoop!) where I was dancing throughout the night, having the time of my life. It’s crazy to see myself and my best friends all grown up as we’ve known each other forever, so it’s so cute we’ve all seen each other grow and mature- as well as get better fashion sense haha! Also, to celebrate birthdays we took a trip up London to see Wicked The Musical. Although I’ve seen it before, it was a million times more amazing seeing it again, and I kinda wanna go back and see it again haha!

This September, I entered my last year of school at my Academy as a Year 13 student…like, WHAT?! I remember rocking up at 11 years old with a blazer that looked more like a dress, and now I’m going to be leaving soon! Now, I can already tell that this is going to be the hardest year of my life, but I am enjoying the subjects which is fab (I just don’t enjoy having to remember every single detail of each course LOL!). In addition, being in my last year also means I have had to start thinking about what I’m doing AFTER I leave. I’ve now finally sent off my university applications and am waiting to hear back where I’m going next year…EEK! (P.S. I can totally do a whole uni-related post if you’d like, just let me know in the comments!)

For my 18th, I was lucky enough to get my first ever driving lesson. I know lots of people start learning to drive at 17, but to be honest, I wasn’t really in the right position to start learning, and I didn’t really feel OLD enough yet to drive! However, in October, I had my first lesson and have had a lesson every week since! Although it was tricky at first, I’m totally getting the hang of it and love the independence it gives me. Soon enough, I’ll be zooming around on the roads- so watch out LOL!

These four things are only a snipet into my Autumn this year. As I said, it’s been a busy one but such an amazing one! It’s a period in which I won’t be forgetting and now has made me even more excited for the next few months…ROLL ON WINTERRR!

What have you been up to this Autumn? What’s been your favourite thing about it this year?
